MASH

MASH stands for Modern American Steak House. And how! It was the meeting place this past Saturday for a group of close friends who hadn't been out to dine together in ages. Sans children, sans mothers, sans inhibitions. We let our senses take over the evening, and succumbed to the food, the wine and the playful side of being a grown-up.

We started with a cocktail each, to whet the appetite. They sure packed a punch! We were seated at a booth, three on one side, four on the other. We sat girl/boy so we had something to manhandle after a few more drinks. It's an upscale place, that's for sure. But it's not so upscale that you won't find onion rings, and chili fries on the menu. For reals. They have meat from the US, Denmark and Australia. You name the nationality, the cut and the weight of your meat, and they take care of the rest. And believe me, these people are pros. The meat is tender, juicy and cooked to serendipity. The side dishes, however fast food they might seem, are excellent. The whole package is...well, pretty close to perfect. Worth every penny.
